Finding forgiveness Within oneself as well as from others can be very beneficial in helping a person to let go of feelings of anger and to relax.

Adopting positive anger management skills can involve keeping a journal. When an individual writes about the situations which upset them, it helps to get the negative thoughts and emotions out of their head. When journaling about such feelings and emotions, a person is able to rid their minds of unhealthy thinking. Put the negativity onto paper and out of your body. This anger management activity of using a journal can provide specific details and perhaps "the triggers" which usually set the individual off. Reading and reviewing reactions to angry situations, a person might find the keys to making changes in their behavior.

When considering anger management skills, here is one which is quite easy to adopt. Remove yourself from a threatening situation that usually leads to a release of anger. When a person realizes they have difficulties controlling their temper, they might consider staying away from situations which end up in heated arguments.
